12V Alternator Conversion kit: 1 Wire Alternator w/ 1/2″ pulley, Alternator Mounting Bracket & 12V Internal Resisted Coil “Hot Coil (Rated up to 55,000 Volts) and Complete USA Made Wiring Harness made exactly like original (modified for 1 Wire Alternator). A, Super A, B, BN. This kit does not fit IH Farmall 140 Tractor. If your Tractor / Unit has the 5/8″ belt, you must use a 1/2″ belt w/ this 1/2 pulley on the Alternator. The 12 Volt Alternator Kit is used to convert the 6 Volt system to a 12 Volt system. This alternator has a simple 1 wire hook up. All you will have to do is run a wire from the alternator through ammeter to the positive side of the battery. The alternator has built in regulator. You must rev the engine to 800 – 850 RPM in order for the unit to self excite. This alternator is meant for 12 volt negative ground system. The alternator must be grounded to the bracket. The housing is 6 1/4″ diameter with the pully diameter being 2 1/2″ and fits 1/2 belt. The 12 Volt Distributor coil is a barrel style coil and is internally resisted. It includes the coil mounting bracket. The primary ohms resistance is 3.1 and the secondary ohms resistance is 9.6.
